Welcome to our school. I am very proud and extremely privileged to be the Headteacher of this caring, inclusive and nurturing school. Glenmead is a very special place to work, having been in post for 20 years as the Deputy Head Teacher I know and understand our community extremely well.

At the heart of our school is a strong sense of community, where every child is known, valued and supported. We have high aspirations for all our pupils and encourage everyone to be the best that they can be. Our children are inspired to believe in themselves, to aim high and to develop a love of learning that will stay with them for life. Our inclusive approach ensures that all children, regardless of background or need, are given the opportunity to succeed and thrive.

Our core values of Respect, Enjoy and Achieve underpin everything we do. We teach children to respect themselves and others, to enjoy their learning and school life, and to achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.

We offer a wide range of opportunities that allow children to discover and develop their interests and talents, both in and beyond the classroom. From creative and sporting activities to leadership opportunities, we aim to nurture confident, curious and resilient learners.

We strongly value our partnership with home and believe that working closely with parents and carers is essential to each child’s success. We provide a safe and secure environment where children feel happy, confident and ready to learn. By working closely with families and the wider community, we prepare our pupils not only for the next stage of their education, but for life beyond school.
